The renowned actress revealed her avid fandom for the dating reality show, noting that she has been a loyal viewer since its inception. However, Christina Applegate seemingly harbors some grievances towards the Love Island producers and its participants. On Wednesday, the Emmy-honored actress took to the platform formerly known as Twitter, now referred to as X, to air her grievances regarding some bothersome ASMR-related aspects of the Peacock's dating competition.

"I'm a die-hard fan of Love Island," she penned. "I've religiously watched every season, but there's something I must say. I have a bone to pick with the production team and some of the contestants." She continued, "Could you kindly refrain from creating those odd sounds with your water bottles? Like when you hold the straw in your mouth and chew it instead of sipping. Or when ladies with long nails click and clack against the microphone, it's quite distracting."

In a subsequent post, Applegate decided to extend her critique, offering some hygiene tips to the Islanders in a humorous yet sincere manner. "In the sweltering heat, seeing white deodorant stains on armpits is quite unappealing," the Dead to Me actress quipped. "You're all incredibly attractive individuals, so please opt for a clear deodorant! The sight of that white residue in the folds is not a good look. This is just me trying to help you be the best version of yourself. Haha."

Love Island USA, hosted by the breakout star of Vanderpump Rules, Ariana Madix, is currently in its sixth season on Peacock. Last week, Madix shared her thoughts with The Hollywood Reporter on the relationship advice she wishes she could impart to the Islanders. "I understand that on Love Island, time is of the essence, and people often don't have much room to deliberate and reflect. But if they just took the time to discuss their feelings with their friends and try to see the good in the person they're with," she said. "I believe that sometimes, you can't truly gauge chemistry until you're physically in the same space with someone, so it's challenging to offer definitive advice."
