Céline Dion has returned! The global pop icon used a birthday message on Monday to announce that she would once again grace the stage later this year, with a series of concerts in Paris at the La Défense Arena, beginning in September.
"I wanted to let you know that I'm doing great, managing my health," Dion said in a heartfelt video message to her fans. "I'm feeling good, I'm singing again, and even doing a little bit of dancing. Obviously, I love it so much. But I have to tell you something very important. Over the last few years, every day that has gone by, I've felt your prayers and support, your kindness and love. This year, I'm getting the best birthday gift of my life. I'm getting the chance to see you, to perform for you once again in Paris, beginning in September. I'm feeling good, I'm strong, I'm feeling excited, obviously a little nervous, but most of all, I'm grateful to all of you. I love you all and I'll see you soon."
Dion has been openly battling health issues over the past several years, revealing in 2022 that she had been diagnosed with the rare neurological disorder known as stiff person syndrome. She dove deep into her health struggles in the 2024 documentary titled "I Am: Céline Dion." Her last full-length concert was back in 2020, and she made a triumphant return at the opening ceremony for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
Dion will be performing across 10 nights in Paris for her concerts, starting on September 12 and concluding on October 14. Pre-sales for the concerts will begin on Tuesday, April 7, and a general on-sale will take place on April 10. The concerts are being produced by AEG Presents, Concerts West, and Inter Concerts.
With this announcement, Céline Dion is not only regaining her voice but also regaining her strength and grace on stage. The world is eagerly awaiting her return to the spotlight and can't wait to hear her sing once again.
