Céline Dion's sons, René-Charles, aged 24, and 15-year-old twins Nelson and Eddy, had the idea of getting their mother on TikTok. That's exactly what happened! After previously sharing only throwback performance clips, Céline made her grand debut on the app.
In her Jan. 4 clip, she looked down at a black hoodie that featured her name and said, "My name is Céline. How old am I?" She then mimicked a conversation with her boys, who were encouraging her to join TikTok. "We have to get you on TikTok and all that," they said. Céline replied, "What? On TikTok?" She continued, "I've heard that before. Suddenly, I'm becoming cool. Céline Dion is cool. That's amazing!"

Céline declared that she was ready for the app and joked, "TikTok here I come." And she certainly made a splash!
In the caption of her post, she elaborated on her first experience with the app. "They told me, 'Celine, it's time...' I asked, 'Time for what?'" she wrote. "Turns out...something completely new. My team then said they'd handle everything, handed me back my phone, and then quietly disappeared." She added, "So here I am, learning how this TikTok world works...one video at a time! Thank you for being here, I'm glad we're here together. - Celine xx..."
Days before this post, Céline showed off her comedic chops by transforming into The Grinch in honor of the Christmas holiday. Donning the full costume, she impersonated the character as she ran through his busy holiday schedule and even (begrudgingly) belted out her 1996 single "All By Myself." She captioned the post shared across her social media platform: "Silent night? Not on my watch..."
While her appearances on social media are few and far between, Céline—who was diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome in 2022—knows the power of social media with her kids. In March, she appeared in a video showing off her dancing and golf skills while on the course with her sons. She wrote alongside the March 19 Instagram video: "I had a beautiful day with my boys out on the course. Getting back into the swing of things!!"
