The Monteith family is grappling with yet another profound sorrow, almost a dozen years after the premature passing of their beloved son, Cory Monteith. On June 18th, Ann McGregor, the esteemed late actor from "Glee," passed away "peacefully," as confirmed by her loved ones in an online tribute. She was 74 years old.

"We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ann's cherished friends and acquaintances who stood by her side, offering unwavering support throughout the years," read a message posted on the Prairie View Cremation and Memorial Services website. "Our profound thanks also go to the doctors, nurses, and palliative care team at St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon for the exceptional care they provided to Ann during her stay." The family further noted that they would honor Ann's life in a private ceremony at a later date.

This tragic loss comes on the heels of the passing of Cory's estranged father, Joe Monteith, on May 12th, following a brief illness, as per an obituary shared by Oromocto Funeral Home and Crematorium. Ann and Joe had divorced in 1989 but shared a 45-year-old son, Shaun Monteith.

Recalling fond memories, a loved one shared, "We used to be inseparable, venturing out to our favorite restaurant where we'd indulge in fish and chips. Even at the tender age of three, Cory would eagerly stand at the counter, insisting on paying the bill. He had a natural charisma; he could strike up a conversation with anyone. There was just something about him that was mesmerizing, and all I could do was soak it all in."

While Ann openly admitted to personally admitting Cory into rehabilitation multiple times amidst his battle with drug addiction, he still endeavored to conceal his struggles from her. "He shielded me from everything because he adored me and wanted to shield me from pain," she explained poignantly. "He was incredibly inquisitive, and unfortunately, the darker allures of the world pulled him in."
