At this difficult time, we humbly request privacy and space as we navigate through our grief, offer mutual support, and contemplate the next steps for our family."
Pat's wife, Kori Green, shared that the younger brother of the "I Love Texas" crooner, John, along with his wife Julia and two of their children, were swept away in the Kerrville floodwaters. "Our hearts are shattered, and we eagerly await news of their whereabouts. Your prayers are deeply appreciated," she expressed.
In the midst of the flooding, Green reluctantly postponed a concert scheduled for last Sunday, announcing on his Facebook page on Independence Day, "Due to the unexpected severe weather and the tragic situation unfolding in the Texas Hill Country, it has been decided to reschedule tomorrow night's performance." He assured fans that the rescheduled date would be August 16.
The storm-induced flash floods in central Texas have claimed over 100 lives, including 27 children at a summer camp, with scores still unaccounted for.
