Cynthia Erivo's heart swelled with pride as she celebrated her role as Elphaba in Wicked after being nominated for a second Golden Globe Award. The 38-year-old actress took to her Instagram on Monday, December 8, to mark this milestone achievement of being nominated for the second time in the Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture category under Musical or Comedy. "Wow!!! What a delightful surprise to receive this news live from the rehearsal room of @draculawestend. It's an honor to be nominated once again for this film," Cynthia began, her voice filled with emotion. "This has been a stunning journey playing this character, and this is the cherry on top," she gushed.

This year, Wicked: For Good received a total of five nominations for the Globes, while the musical received four last year. The film had previously won the ceremony's Cinematic and Box Office Achievement award.
