D4vd tour dates removed from websites after the discovery of a girl’s body in Los Angeles

The final two dates remaining on singer d4vd’s U.S. tour, along with multiple stops on his upcoming European leg, have vanished from ticketing platforms as authorities press on with their investigation into the grim discovery of a teenage girl’s decomposed body in Los Angeles.

Police have not alleged any involvement by d4vd (pronounced “David”) in the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, whose remains were found inside an impounded Tesla earlier this month. The 15-year-old had been reported missing the previous year.

Several media outlets have reported that the vehicle was registered to d4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, 20. Neither his representatives nor law enforcement have confirmed whether the singer owned the car, and repeated requests for comment have gone unanswered.

D4vd’s scheduled Friday performance in San Francisco was listed as canceled on the venue’s website, while his final U.S. tour stop in Los Angeles on Saturday disappeared from both the venue’s site and Ticketmaster, with both events now marked as scrapped.

The alt-pop artist was also set to appear at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles on Wednesday in an event that had sold out days prior—but has since been erased from the venue’s online listings.

Representatives for the venues, as well as d4vd himself, did not immediately respond to the Associated Press’ inquiries regarding the status of his tour.

The Houston-born singer-songwriter kicked off the North American leg of his tour in early August and was slated to head to Europe in early October. However, at least nine of his European dates have now been canceled on Ticketmaster, including his inaugural show in Norway on October 1.

While some stops in Sweden, France, Poland, and a handful of Australian shows scheduled for December remain available for purchase as of Friday, the disruptions cast a shadow over his global plans. The artist has been touring in support of his first full-length album, *Withered*, released in April.

A rising star among Gen Z audiences, d4vd blends indie rock, R&B, and lo-fi pop. He first catapulted to fame on TikTok in 2022 with the viral hit “Romantic Homicide,” which soared to No. 4 on Billboard’s Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart. He later signed with Darkroom and Interscope, dropping his debut EP *Petals to Thorns* and its follow-up, *The Lost Petals*, in 2023.

An unnamed representative for d4vd told NBC Los Angeles that the singer has been cooperating fully with authorities since the body’s discovery, though the reason for the car’s impoundment remains unclear.

Rivas was last seen in April 2024 in Lake Elsinore, roughly 60 miles (95 kilometers) southeast of downtown Los Angeles, when she was just 13.

Her body “was found severely decomposed,” the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office stated Wednesday, adding that her cause of death has yet to be determined.
