Sarah Jane Ramos is setting the record straight, dispelling rumors that her engagement with fiancé Dak Prescott was called off one month before their wedding due to a prenup. The Tampa Bay native responded to a March 9 Instagram post from the Speakeasy Talk Show, in which hosts Emmanuel Acho and LeSean McCoy discussed the speculation, including a screenshot of a text that alleged Dak had been pushing for a prenup that Sarah had refused to sign. However, as she explained in the comments, “This had nothing to do with a prenup. I hope we can put that rumor to rest now.”

Sarah, who is a mother to children Margaret, 2, and Aurora, 9 months old with the Dallas Cowboys quarterback, didn't share a reason for the split, but as her rep had previously said, Sarah and Dak were “both heartbroken that they’re not getting married.” There was no rocky lead-up or big argument or blow-up,” the rep added in a March 9 statement to People. “It was a mutual decision.”
Most importantly, the duo, who were first linked in September 2023 before getting engaged in October 2024, were focused on their co-parenting journey ahead. “They love their girls, and they’re committed to raising their children together in the most loving and positive way,” the rep’s statement continued. “It’s still shocking for them since this happened so recently, and they ask for privacy while they sort everything out.”
Sarah and Dak’s break-up announcement came just days after she had posted about celebrating her bachelorette weekend with friends in the Bahamas. “I truly believe you can get through anything in life as long as you have really great friends,” she wrote on Instagram March 5 alongside a carousel of photos showing off the festivities. “I love these girls so much.”
When it came to her relationship with Dak, 32, Sarah, also 32, had previously shared how excited she was to be spending her life with him. “Happy birthday to my person,” she’d written on Instagram in July. “The best in every way possible. I couldn’t love you more and I cannot wait to be your wife.”
