Jan Ravnik and Jen Affleck found themselves dancing in the shadows rather than waltzing into another week on the dance floor, ultimately being the sixth couple to be eliminated during Dancing With the Stars season 34 on Halloween Night. Jen reacted to the news of their departure, sharing with hosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough, "This experience has meant everything to me. I cannot wait to talk about this in the future with my kids. I did this for my kids and I’m so grateful for the experience." Jan, who had recently faced criticism from former pros Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd, added of his partner, "She’s a rockstar, that’s all I’m gonna say."

During the Oct. 28 episode, the pair danced to Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do,” embracing the spooky theme and honoring Jan’s roots as an Eras Tour backup dancer. They received 34 points combined from judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, Derek Hough, and former DWTS pro and two-time champion Cheryl Burke, plus bonus points from the Dance Monster-thon, leaving them seventh on the leaderboard.
Joining them in the bottom three were Andy Richter and Emma Slater, as well as Elaine Hendrix and Alan Bersten, who only had their rehearsal footage shown since the Parent Trap actress was hospitalized earlier in the day. The remaining celeb contestants are Andy, Elaine, Alix Earle, Robert Irwin, Danielle Fishel, Jordan Chiles, Dylan Efron, and Whitney Leavitt.
While the pros and celebs are leaving it all on the dance floor, they understand that the judges are just trying to do their jobs. "I am in the competition, so I might be biased," Danielle's partner Pasha Pashkov shared with E! News following the series' Oct. 21 episode, "but in reality, I think judges have the hardest job. It's one thing to give your opinion online or in passing, but to actually make that decision and pick up that number in front of millions of people watching, knowing that you might get a backlash on it is not easy."
