Danielle Fishel has opened up about the wave of nostalgia that engulfs her as a participant on Dancing with the Stars. The 44-year-old actress revealed that performing live on DWTS brings back a flood of memories from her days on the set of the beloved 1993 show Boy Meets World, when she frequently took to the stage.
Danielle asserts that she's well-acquainted with performing under the spotlight's glare, a skill honed during her tenure on the immensely popular sitcom. In an interview with PEOPLE, she confidently declared, "I thrive under pressure and am a true performer at heart."
Fishel confessed that prior to stepping onto the reality show stage, she harbored doubts about her ability to deliver. "It had been an eternity since I last performed in front of the camera. I was unsure if I'd feel rusty or if I'd even remember what to do," admitted the star of Girl Meets World. She continued, "But the moment the audience files in, it's as if I'm transported back to 1994, standing before a crowd of 250 on the Boy Meets World set."
Danielle described how, on live show nights, she feels an electrifying surge of energy from within. Meanwhile, her dance partner, Pasha Pashkov, shared insights into how the crowd's presence fuels Fishel's performances. According to Pashkov, "When the audience is in full swing, she taps into some hidden reserve of energy—an extra 50% that leaves me in awe. I'm like, 'Who is this person?' And it's truly remarkable."
Danielle and Pasha have emerged as one of the standout pairs on DWTS, earning an impressive 19 out of 30 points for their Cha Cha routine, despite Danielle performing with an injury.
