Darrell Sheets, ‘Storage Wars’ Star, Dies at 67

Darrell Sheets, a seasoned face across 163 episodes of the popular A&E series "Storage Wars," breathed his last breath in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, on Wednesday. He was 67 years old. According to the police, his demise appeared to be a tragic self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

"On April 22, 2026, at approximately 0200 hours, the Lake Havasu City Police Department was dispatched to a residence in the 1500 block of Chandler Drive, responding to a reported deceased individual. Upon their arrival, they discovered a male subject who had suffered from a seemingly self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The male was pronounced dead on the scene, and the Criminal Investigations Unit of the Lake Havasu City Police Department was promptly notified and took over the investigation," the Lake Havasu Police Department stated in a release.

"The body was eventually turned over to the Mohave County Medical Examiner's office for further examination. The male subject has been identified as Darrell Sheets, a 67-year-old resident of Lake Havasu City. Darrell's family has been notified. This incident remains under active investigation, and additional information will be released as it becomes available," the release continued.

Sheets had a long-standing presence on the long-running reality show "Storage Wars" from 2010 to 2023 and also made appearances on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" and Raechel Ray's show. After suffering a heart attack in 2019, he retired to Arizona and operated an antique store called Havasu Show Me Your Junk.
