Dave Grohl and Jordyn Blum were in perfect harmony, just over a year after Dave announced the arrival of their fourth daughter, a love child outside their 22-year marriage. The Foo Fighters frontman and his longtime wife made their first joint red carpet appearance at the Hope The Mission and Los Angeles Mission Present Hope in The City Of Angels charity gala on October 18th.
For the occasion, Dave and Jordyn coordinated in all-black looks, with Dave opting for a casual suit without a tie, while Jordyn donned a long-sleeved dress, tights, and heels. As they walked the event's blue carpet, both parties - who share daughters Violet Maye Grohl, 19, Harper Willow Grohl, 16, and Ophelia Saint Grohl, 11 - beamed with smiles.
Dave was honored during the event "for inspiring advocacy on behalf of the less fortunate in his backyard" through his volunteer work in the greater Los Angeles area, "just as his music has provided hope and solace for fans the world over." In addition to auctioning off a set of handwritten lyrics, he also pledged $100,000 to the mission.
Their joint appearance comes over a year after Dave announced he'd welcomed a fourth daughter "outside" his marriage. "I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her," he added in his September 2024 post. "I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness."
While Jordyn was seen without her wedding ring just over a week after Dave's announcement, nine months later they proved they were still going strong with a Wimbledon date where they were seen smiling in the venue's Royal Box in July.
Years before Dave's baby admission, he'd shared how Jordyn helped him stay grounded amid his star-studded career. "For the past 20 years when I've been touring, I've always craved stability," he told The Guardian in 2007. "I've never gotten off on chaos. Throughout the whole Nirvana experience I retreated to Virginia whenever I felt sucked into the tornado of insanity. Same thing with the Foo Fighters." "I wouldn't be able to do this if I didn't have my feet planted firmly on the ground," Grohl added. "So Jordyn and Violet are anchors that keep me from completely disappearing."
