David Corenswet embraced the opportunity to glean invaluable insights from the esteemed alumni of Superman ahead of the highly anticipated DC reboot. From 2013 to 2022, Henry Cavill donned the red cape with distinction in DC films, while Tyler Hoechlin captivated audiences for four seasons in The CW's drama, "Superman & Lois."

At the London premiere of the reboot, Corenswet reminisced about his meaningful conversations with Cavill and Hoechlin about portraying this iconic hero. Speaking to People Magazine, he said, "I was fortunate enough to engage in correspondence with Tyler Hoechlin and Henry Cavill, two predecessors who have brought Superman to life before me. Both, in their unique ways, somewhat hesitated to offer advice. Truthfully, there isn't much advice one can impart; it's largely about carving one's own path."

He further elaborated, "However, receiving words of encouragement from them was truly heartwarming. It was equally fulfilling to pen down my gratitude for the manner in which they nurtured the character during their tenure." He added that hearing back from these veteran actors was an unparalleled experience.

Corenswet not only secured the endorsement of Cavill and Hoechlin but also garnered encouragement from Will Reeve, the son of the late Christopher Reeve, who portrayed Superman in the seminal 1978 film. The "Twisters" actor revealed that while it wouldn't be precise to say Reeves gave him a "stamp of approval," as he would be the first to disclaim such authority, his presence on set (where he will make a special cameo in the reboot) and his palpable excitement served as a deeply "encouraging sign" and "meant the world."

"Superman" is poised to soar onto theater screens on July 11.
