DDG is appealing to the court to halt Halle Bailey's plans to take their 17-month-old son, Halo, overseas. As revealed in court documents accessed by PEOPLE, on June 4th, the 27-year-old streamer submitted an urgent motion, seeking an emergency hearing and requesting a restriction on the 25-year-old "Little Mermaid" actress's ability to travel internationally with Halo, particularly for a vacation destined for Italy.
Furthermore, DDG is seeking a domestic violence restraining order, asserting that Bailey poses an "immediate emotional and psychological danger to their minor child, supported by numerous documented instances of self-harm threats." He contends that should Halo leave the country, the toddler would be stripped of court-mandated protections and any available "emergency intervention measures."
Representatives for both Bailey and DDG were unavailable for immediate comment upon PEOPLE's request.
The YouTube streamer alleges that Bailey has exhibited "recurrent suicidal tendencies and self-harm threats," claiming there have been instances where her emotional distress jeopardized Halo's safety.
DDG recounts a particular incident where, amidst a dispute, Bailey seized his firearm and exited the premises with it. He alleges he eventually found her outdoors, gun in hand, in a state of "severe emotional distress, incoherent, and potentially suicidal."
In May, Bailey was granted temporary physical and legal custody of Halo, following allegations of physical and emotional abuse by the rapper, whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr. The temporary restraining order, mandating that the Twitch streamer maintain a distance of over 100 yards from Bailey and Halo at all times, expired upon the court hearing scheduled for June 4, 2025.
Bailey had also petitioned the judge to prohibit her ex-boyfriend from unsupervised visitation with their son. However, she proposed supervised visits, facilitated by a professional company, for six hours weekly while Halo is in Los Angeles.
Additionally, Bailey sought to restrict DDG from taking Halo out of Los Angeles County.
The former couple, who began their relationship in 2022, ultimately parted ways in 2024.
