Stars Hugh Jackman of "The Wolverine" and Deborra-Lee Furness have officially embarked on separate paths, two years after publicly announcing their amicable separation. Furness submitted the necessary divorce paperwork on Friday in New York, with all filings now processed and awaiting only a judge's signature to finalize the dissolution of their marriage. A representative for Furness did not promptly respond to an email seeking comment on Tuesday.

In a previous joint statement, the estranged couple expressed, "Our journey has taken a turn, and we have chosen to part ways to pursue our individual growth." This heartfelt announcement, first shared with People in September 2023, further noted that they were "blessed" to have shared nearly three decades in a "wonderful, loving marriage." They added, "Our family has always been our utmost priority. We embark on this new chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and respect for our privacy as our family navigates this transformative period in our lives."

Since then, Jackman, renowned for his roles in "Logan" and "Les Misérables," has been linked with his "Music Man" co-star Sutton Foster.

Furness, 69, and Jackman, 56, tied the knot in 1996 and are the proud parents of two adopted children. They welcomed their son, Oscar, into their family in 2000 and announced the birth of their daughter, Ava, in 2005. Jackman once shared with People in 2018, "My kids are constantly reminded of how fortunate we are as a family. We're incredibly blessed. We reside in a stunning home, in places that others only dream of."

Their last public appearance together was at the Wimbledon men's final in July 2023. Prior to that, they graced the red carpet at the Met Gala in May of the same year, marking the end of an era together.
