During the third week of Sean "Diddy" Combs' federal sex trafficking trial, Cassie's past relationship with Michael B. Jordan once again captured the spotlight. On May 29, Deonte Nash, a former stylist for both Diddy and Cassie, recounted to the jurors how he introduced Cassie to Michael B. Jordan in 2015, following her discovery of Diddy's infidelity with another woman.
Cassie, who was then filming 'Honey 3' in South Africa, was deeply devastated by the betrayal. Nash recalled her emotional distress, as she reportedly asked him, "Why does he persist in humiliating me and attempting to destroy my career?" Nash then confirmed that he had indeed facilitated their meeting, stating, "He's attractive, she's attractive. Why shouldn't they give it a shot?" He further revealed that the two began "talking, dating, and deepening their understanding of each other."
Nash's testimony also included shocking revelations about Diddy's abusive behavior towards Cassie. He claimed to have witnessed Diddy physically beating Cassie, threatening to release explicit tapes, and forcing her into degrading sexual acts.
Nash's accounts corroborate Cassie's own testimony from two weeks prior, where she admitted to being "deeply hurt" upon learning of Diddy's alleged reunion with an ex-lover while she was abroad.
