Actress Karen Gillan, renowned for her roles in the TV series "Doctor Who" and the "Guardians of the Galaxy" films, has joyfully welcomed a baby girl into the world. Captioning several heartwarming photos of herself and her husband, Nick Kocher, cradling their bundle of joy, she penned, "2024, thank you for blessing us with Clementine." One snapshot captured the couple, mugs in hand, bearing the playful inscription, "The Best Parents Ever," while the closing slide, intriguing and requiring further elaboration, can be viewed in the post below.

In a lighthearted caption, Gillan joked, "I shot a film titled 'Let's Have Kids' precisely when I conceived in real life—take that, Daniel Day-Lewis!" She referenced the Oscar-winning actor known for his unparalleled dedication to his roles in films like "There Will Be Blood" and "The Last of the Mohicans."

Gillan and Kocher, a former "Saturday Night Live" writer and actor who has appeared in series such as "How I Met Your Mother," tied the knot in 2022. Her pregnancy was evident in September when she affectionately cradled her burgeoning belly on the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival.

This delightful arrival marks the first child for both the excited parents.

From 2010 to 2013, Gillan, now 37, starred in the British science-fiction series "Doctor Who" as Amy Pond, a character who befriended the iconic Time Lord, portrayed by Matt Smith. In the "Guardians of the Galaxy" series and "Avengers" movies, she portrayed Nebula, a fierce warrior and the adopted daughter of Josh Brolin's villainous Thanos.

Having relocated to the United States for her flourishing career, the UK native has kept her personal life relatively private. However, last month, she shared on TikTok, via the Daily Mail, about her intense cravings for raw vegetables and quiche.

Back in 2018, in a podcast titled "Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum," Gillan expressed her aspirations to be a good mother. "I definitely want them," she said of having children. "It's going to be hilarious. I think I would be a good mum. I feel like I would definitely excel at playing with the kids, like being one of them." She also hinted at her desire to eventually return to Scotland, saying, "I think there's a possibility that I'll come back at some point. I've decorated my house in a very Scottish style; it doesn't feel like I'm in LA at all. It reminds me of a granny's home in Scotland—which is what I am in my soul."
