Tom Holland Won’t Walk the Red Carpet at Zendaya’s Film Premieres ‘Because It’s Her Moment,’ Says ‘When I Have Kids You Will Not See Me in Movies Anymore’

Tom Holland recently confided in Men’s Health, revealing his thoughtful decision to refrain from accompanying his girlfriend, Zendaya, down the red carpet at her movie premieres. He eloquently articulated, “It’s not my moment, it’s hers, and sharing it might detract from the focus that rightfully belongs solely to her.” The duo gleefully unites when the spotlight shines on their collaborative endeavors, such as the Marvel “Spider-Man” trilogy. However, Holland generously refrained from stealing Zendaya’s thunder at events for films like “Challengers” or “Dune,” preferring to let her shine solo.

Their on-screen chemistry has proven box office gold, with two of their three “Spider-Man” films grossing over $1 billion worldwide. As the leads in the upcoming fourth “Spider-Man” installment and Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey,” both slated for release in 2026, the couple will spend much of 2025 side by side on film sets, offering fans ample opportunities to witness their red carpet camaraderie next year.

Their romance blossomed into the public eye in 2021. While Holland remained tight-lipped about the intimate details of their relationship, he did hint at how fatherhood might alter his career trajectory, quipping, “Once I become a dad, movies will be a distant memory. Golf and dad duties will be my new gig. I’ll vanish off the radar completely.”

During a recent appearance on the “Dish” podcast, Holland was queried about acting alongside Zendaya, to which he responded with a lighthearted joke, “Studios adore it – one hotel room, separate rides. We’re perfectly sane, you know. It’s just work, plain and simple.” Transitioning to a more sincere tone, he added, “It’s a blessing, truly the best thing that’s ever happened to me. On set, when a director offers feedback we might disagree on, or something she’s not fond of, we share a knowing glance, anticipating the animated discussion we’ll have later.”

Zendaya, too, has sung Holland’s praises to Vanity Fair, emphasizing how acting opposite him feels unnaturally comfortable. She elucidated, “It’s like second nature. There’s an unparalleled sense of security when acting alongside him. I cherish working with him; his immense talent and unwavering passion are inspiring. He gives it his all, even when completely exhausted. It feels so normal, given that we first met during a chemistry read.”

Joining Holland and Zendaya in Nolan’s “The Odyssey” are an illustrious ensemble including Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, and Charlize Theron. Scheduled for a July 17, 2026 release by Universal Pictures, fans eagerly await this cinematic marvel. Meanwhile, Sony and Marvel have slotted “Spider-Man 4” for July 24, 2026, promising double the excitement as these dynamic duos conquer both the silver screen and the red carpet.
