Produced by Yen alongside Raymond Pak-Ming Wong (of the "Ip Man" franchise fame) and penned by Edmond Wong (also of the "Ip Man" series), this feature-length film also marks Yen's directorial prowess. The star-studded cast includes Julian Cheung ("The Grandmaster"), Francis Ng ("Infernal Affairs II"), Kent Cheng ("Why Me?"), Michael Hui ("Teppanyaki"), and Kong Lau ("Hard Boiled"), promising a spectacle of talents on screen.

Drawing inspiration from a genuine Hong Kong legal case, "The Prosecutor" narratives the plight of a man who, after being set up, pleas guilty to drug trafficking. According to the plot synopsis, "Despite his confession, a seasoned policeman-turned-prosecutor, unwavering in his belief in the man's innocence, embarks on a personal quest for truth, jeopardizing both his professional career and personal safety to see justice served and the true culprit brought to heel."

Signature Entertainment has slated a digital release for June 16th, followed by a Blu-ray debut on June 23rd. Negotiations for this pivotal acquisition were skillfully conducted between Max Hart, Signature Entertainment's acquisitions and development executive, and Avery Lam, Mandarin Motion Pictures' assistant distribution manager.

Commenting on the deal, Hart enthused, "Donnie Yen has repeatedly demonstrated that he is the unparalleled master of action cinema in our era. In 'The Prosecutor,' he showcases his mastery with commendable ease, painting a colossal canvas as both the leading man and co-director. The film offers not just the breathtaking and innovative action sequences we've grown accustomed to seeing him deliver in films like 'John Wick: Chapter 4' and 'Rogue One,' but exceeds all expectations."

Founded in 2011 by Marc Goldberg, who serves as its CEO, Signature has emerged as a pivotal independent distributor in the UK and has since ventured into production and international sales. Its recent slate boasts notable releases such as the comedy "Greedy People," starring Lily James, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Himesh Patel; the action thriller "Chief of Station," featuring Aaron Eckhart; and the indie horror flick "Terrifier 3."
