Friday saw an unprecedented musical event unfold as Drake not only dropped one, but three highly anticipated albums: "Iceman," "Maid of Honour," and "Habibti," all simultaneously at midnight ET. Rumors had been swirling on Thursday, courtesy of DJ Hed on X, suggesting that "Iceman" would be followed by "Maid of Honour" an hour later. However, Drake had other plans, as he announced the simultaneous release of all three projects just as his "Iceman Episode 4" livestream concluded. The announcement was accompanied by the reveal of the album titles and the message, "All 3 albums dropping at midnight from the biggest sound." He then unveiled the striking album cover images through individual posts on Instagram.

In total, the three records boast a robust 43 songs and feature guest appearances from an impressive lineup including Future, 21 Savage, Sexyy Red (on two songs), Qendresa, Molly Santana, Central Cee, Popcaan, PartyNextDoor, Loe Shimmy, Iconic Savvy, and Stunna Sandy.
The journey to "Iceman" has been a long and winding one for Drake. As early as 2024, he began teasing the project by referencing Val Kilmer's iconic character from "Top Gun," nicknamed "Iceman." This was followed shortly by a screenshot of a folder titled "2.0 – Iceman," further fueling speculation that the record would indeed be named "Iceman."
In July 2025, Drake began actively promoting the album with the debut of "Iceman Episode 1" on YouTube, showcasing several new songs such as "What Did I Miss?" This was followed by two more livestreams that gave birth to the singles "Which One" featuring Central Cee and "Dog House" featuring July Wolf and Yeat. Just before the release of "Iceman," he streamed the fourth installment of the series on YouTube.
In late April, Drake further piqued interest in the album by setting up a mysterious display of ice blocks in Toronto. Inside these blocks was a bag containing the release date for "Iceman," which was ultimately revealed by a streamer named Kishka who made the journey to Drake's house to open the contents and reveal the date. Not long after, Drake confirmed a May 15 release date on social media.
