The stellar cast comprises Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Camilla Beeput, Sarah Lam, Travis Fimmel, Jodhi May, Mark Strong, Jade Anouka, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, and Chris Mason. "Dune: Prophecy," formerly titled "Dune: The Sisterhood," draws inspiration from Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson's compelling book, "Sisterhood of Dune." According to the official logline, the series follows the intrepid Harkonnen Sisters (Watson, Williams) as they bravely confront forces that threaten the future of humankind and lay the foundations for the legendary Bene Gesserit sect.

The trailer takes us on a thrilling journey through the early days of the Bene Gesserit, revealing intricate webs of intrigue and power struggles unfolding in the vastness of space. Diane Ademu-John, the visionary creator and executive producer, was originally slated to co-helm the showrunner role, but in 2022, she gracefully stepped down, paving the way for Alison Schapker to assume the sole mantle of showrunner and executive producer. Anna Foerster, John Cameron, and Richard J. Lewis helm the directorial team, while Jordan Goldberg, Jon Spaihts, Scott Z. Burns, Matt King, Cait Collins, Cameron, and Foerster serve as executive producers alongside Brian Herbert, Byron Merritt, and Kim Herbert, representing the Frank Herbert estate. Anderson joins as a co-producer, and the series is a collaboration between Max and Legendary TV.

Villeneuve's first "Dune" film, released in 2021 on Max and in theaters worldwide, defied expectations, grossing just under $400 million despite its simultaneous streaming release. Now, the latest chapter in the epic saga, "Dune: Part Two," released on March 1, has surpassed expectations, grossing over $700 million at the global box office. It reigned supreme as the highest-grossing film of the year, until it was dethroned by the phenomenal "Inside Out 2."
