The "Star Trek: Starfleet Academy" series has unveiled its latest recruits with the addition of Karim Diané and Zoë Steiner. Signing on for the upcoming Paramount+ series, they will join cadets Kerrice Brooks, Bella Shepard, and George Hawkins in their stellar adventure. As previously announced, the series boasts a stellar cast with Holly Hunter taking the helm as the captivating captain and chancellor of Starfleet Academy, while Paul Giamatti will play the sinister villain of the season.

The official synopsis of the show paints a vibrant picture of a youthful ensemble of cadets, united in their pursuit of a shared dream filled with hope and optimism. Beneath the watchful and rigorous gaze of their mentors, they embark on a journey that unravels the path to becoming Starfleet officers, navigating the complexities of budding friendships, fiery rivalries, first loves, and a menacing new enemy that poses a threat to both the Academy and the Federation itself.

Production for this thrilling series is set to commence later this summer. Karim Diané, recently seen in the Peacock series "One of Us Is Lying," adds his stellar talent to the mix. With a resume that includes credits in "Solve" and "Startup," he's poised to make a mark in the upcoming film "1266" alongside Gabourey Sidibe. Diané, a talented singer who began his journey as a contestant on "The X Factor," is represented by Paradigm and Legendize.

Zoë Steiner, making her television debut in the British dramedy "Significant Others," brings a fresh perspective to the screen. With experience in multiple short films and studies at the prestigious 16th StreetActors Studio in Melbourne and the Michael Chekhov Acting Studio in New York, she is a rising star. Steiner is represented by Strand Entertainment in the U.S. and IMC in Australia.

The creative team behind "Starfleet Academy" is led by co-showrunners and executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Noga Landau.
