The next morning, Elle woke up to a barrage of notifications about her big news and was shocked that she had almost been asleep during the announcement. "I ran into my sister's room and I told her, and she was freaking out," Elle recalled. "She's like, 'What do you mean? What do you mean?' And I'm like, 'Look it up, look it up! Because I didn't believe it until I saw it. So I was like, 'Look it up, this must be a mistake.'"
The actress even joked that she looked like a "crazed zombie" in her nightgown during the chaotic morning. Despite the chaos, it's clear that Elle Fanning is thrilled to be nominated for her first Oscar and is looking forward to celebrating with her loved ones.
