Elliot Page is embracing Pride month with a flourish. The Oscar-nominee officially unveiled his burgeoning romance with "Overcompensating" star Julia Shiplett by sharing an enchanting snapshot of the pair on social media on June 28th. The image, posted on Elliot's Instagram page, captures the 38-year-old actor beaming broadly as he leans over Julia's shoulder, while she, also 38, captures a selfie of them standing on a road paved with rainbows. The picture required no words; instead, Elliot let it convey the message, accompanied only by a rainbow emoji and a double-heart emoji in the caption.

Just hours prior, Julia, who portrays Mimi in the Prime Video series, took to her own social media to post a picture of Elliot, shirtless and relaxed in a hot spring. Alongside the image on her Instagram Stories, she included an exhaling emoji and a water droplet emoji, with the caption, "Happy prideee."

Elliot, who came out as transgender in 2020, has previously been open about his relationships, including those with Kate Mara and Olivia Thirlby, which he detailed in his 2023 memoir, "Pageboy." The book also chronicles a secretive romance he had with an unnamed celebrity whose sexuality was concealed at the time.

"For once, my partner was more closeted than I was," Elliot wrote. "We were together for nearly two years, and even some of my closest friends were unaware of our relationship. Her parents didn't know either."

The "Juno" star, who was married to Emma Portner from 2018 to 2021, described how he and his mystery partner went to great lengths to keep their bond out of the public eye before eventually parting ways. "It wasn't a sustainable relationship, just like when I had kept people hidden," he continued. "People didn't 'think she was queer,' but they definitely assumed I was, and I don't think she could handle the shame. Ultimately, she had to do what was best for her, and unfortunately, it left me heartbroken."

Fortunately, since his transition, Elliot seems to have found better fortune in love. In an interview with the Los Angeles Times in June 2023, he revealed that he was having "the most fun I've ever had dating." "Interacting with people feels so much easier and more connected," he added, "because I'm no longer lost within myself and unseen in the right light."
