The saga surrounding Elon Musk's paternity takes yet another twist. Just weeks after Ashley St. Clair made headlines by announcing the birth of what would be the Tesla CEO's thirteenth child, the conservative influencer has accused Musk of slashing financial support for their son. In a video posted by the Daily Mail on March 31st, Ashley was captured handing over the keys to her $100,000 Tesla outside her Manhattan apartment, stating to a reporter, "I must compensate for the 60% reduction Elon imposed on our son's child support."
When probed if she felt the tech tycoon was acting out of spite towards her, Ashley—who revealed her last attempt to communicate with Musk was on February 13th—gave a cryptic response. "Well, that's his usual approach when women speak up," she continued. "Take a look at the stock market; I'm not the only one picking up the pieces after his actions."
Shortly afterward, Musk responded to a snippet of the interview that was shared on social media, addressing the paternity of Ashley's baby. "I'm unsure if the child is mine, but I'm not opposed to finding out," the 53-year-old posted on X (formerly Twitter) on March 31st. "No court order is necessary."
While Musk refrained from commenting on whether he had indeed decreased his child support payments, he insisted that he was still financially supporting the infant. "Even though I'm not certain," he continued, "I've already given Ashley $2.5 million and am sending her $500,000 annually."
Ashley had first announced the arrival of her child in February on X—which Musk recently sold to his AI startup for a staggering $33 billion—revealing that she had given birth five months prior. "Elon Musk is the father," she wrote at the time. "I refrained from disclosing this earlier to safeguard our child's privacy and security, but recently, it has become evident that the tabloid media intends to expose this regardless of the harm it may cause."
Ashley—who filed for sole custody of her child in February—added, "I want our child to grow up in a normal and secure environment. Therefore, I humbly request the media to respect our child's privacy and refrain from intrusive reporting."
Two weeks later, Musk's presidential advisor confirmed the birth of his fourth child with Shivon Zilis—making it his fourteenth child if Ashley's baby is indeed his—by responding with a heart emoji to Zilis's post announcing the arrival. "After discussing with Elon, and considering the joyful occasion of Arcadia's birthday, we decided it would be best to share the news of our wonderful and incredible son, Seldon Lycurgus, directly," Zilis wrote on X. "Built like a juggernaut but with a heart of gold. I love him so much."
