Emma Stone has recently made a startling confession regarding her red carpet appearances. In a clip posted on Vogue on August 14th, the actress of "The Poor Things" expressed her regrets about a few of her outfits during a segment titled "A Life in Looks." Recalling her attire for the 2011 Critics' Choice Awards, the star of "La La Land" revealed, "I once vowed never to say I regretted anything." Yet, she quickly added, "I'm breaking that vow right now," the 36-year-old remarked.
Upon revisiting the photograph, Emma had no qualms with the dress itself but was deeply troubled by her spray tan. "Hailing from Arizona, my skin lacks pigment, so as a child, I was utterly fascinated with the idea of having a tan," explained the actress known for her role in "Cruella." Emma went on to say, "This obsession stayed with me during my first few years of attending such events."
The Academy Award winner confessed, "I believed that if you were dressing up and wanted to look your best, you should opt for an extremely dark spray tan." She further elaborated, "My hands looked as if I were wearing gloves because the spray tan didn't reach them."
Meanwhile, the actress behind "Easy A" emphasized that she "adores" this dress, adding, "I felt absolutely fabulous in it, so much so that I believed a spray tan was necessary to heighten that fantastic feeling."
