Eric Dane, the star of "Grey's Anatomy," made a choice amidst his sex tape scandal at the time of his passing on February 19th, at the age of 53. His death was a result of complications from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), a progressive and fatal disease that destroys neurons, leading to muscle weakness, paralysis, and eventually respiratory failure. He was diagnosed with ALS in April 2025 and openly spoke about his illness to raise awareness.
As a public figure, Dane's life was under constant scrutiny, and things took a turn for the worse when a leaked video surfaced in 2009, depicting him and his wife, Rebecca Gayheart, in a bathtub with another woman. Fast forward almost five years to 2014, when the "Euphoria" star expressed regret for making the video, with the most distressing aspect being that he had involved his beloved wife in his malicious act. He stated, "We all make mistakes," but "my one regret is that I got the person I love most wrapped up in all that: Rebecca."
Interestingly, the unidentified woman in the video was revealed to be beauty queen Kari Ann Peniche.
