Euphoria Reveals Fate of Zendaya's Rue After Season 3 Cliffhanger

Published: May 19 2026

**Warning: Spoilers for Euphoria season three, episode six ahead.**

Cut off Rue Bennett's head? Not quite. After her fate was left hanging in the balance when crime lord Alamo Brown (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) galloped towards her on a horse, ready to smash her face in with a polo mallet, Rue (Zendaya) was spared from a painful death in the May 17 Euphoria episode.

As Rue pleaded for her life, buried up to her neck in the desert by Alamo's henchmen G (Marshawn Lynch) and Bishop (Darrell Britt-Gibson), the Silver Slipper strip club owner narrowly missed her head as he sped by. However, he wasn't here to save her. Ready to kill Rue, she ultimately confessed that she could get the money back from Laurie (Martha Kelly), who had robbed Alamo with the help of Faye (Chloe Cherry).

"The girl, the getaway driver," she emphasized. "I know her and her name is Faye. I can call her."

So, Rue—whom Alamo believed to be an accomplice in the robbery—pleaded with Faye on speakerphone to send a photo of the key to the safe where their loot was kept under the watchful eye of her white supremacist boyfriend Wayne (Toby Wallace). Initially, Faye declined to help because of her feelings for Wayne, but Rue—still buried up to her neck, with Alamo's foot close to her head—reminded her that Fezco (the late Angus Cloud) went to prison because of her ex-boyfriend Custer (Tyler Chase).

"You know who I need right now? Fez," Rue said on the phone. "Fez would help me, but do you know where he is? He's in f**king jail. Why? Because of your last f**king junkie boyfriend. Faye? He helped you, and I need you to help me. Can you do that? Please."

A guilt-ridden Faye agreed, sending Rue—who had become an informant for the DEA to avoid going to prison for drug trafficking in the May 4 episode—the photo of the key.

When Laurie was invited to Alamo's home to chat—unaware of the photo Faye sent—his rival blackmailed him into moving 80 kilos of fentanyl over the Mexico border. Rue recorded the conversation, which the DEA agents were seen listening to in a car nearby.

"If everything goes according to plan, these people will spend the rest of their lives behind bars," Agent Jimenez (Hemky Madera) told her during a meeting later that night. "You did your job, you kept your word. The U.S. attorney will look at your case favorably."

After Agent Bowman (William Bodner) told her, "You did good, kid," Rue simply responded, "Never thought I'd hear that."

Once again, however, Rue was put in a potentially fatal situation when Alamo demanded that she rob the safe. As he put it, "You need it more than I do. It's your plan. Don't you want to see it through?"
