Eva Mendes is firmly putting rumors to rest that she and her longtime partner, Ryan Gosling—the proud parents of daughters Esmeralda, 11, and Amada, 9—had up and left the United States for a new life in England. After a report suggested they'd made the move and even purchased a home in the Hampstead neighborhood of North London, Eva took to Instagram Stories on November 3 to set the record straight with a screenshot of the article and a simple yet poignant message: "WRONG again @dailymail. Although I love my time in London, I can't wait to get back home and celebrate the @dodgers World Series championship! Go Dodgers!!!"

The 51-year-old actress's denial of the move to London came amid rumors that had been swirling since October. Despite confirming that leaving Los Angeles was a non-starter, Eva has been open about her decision to say goodbye to Hollywood and the film industry. "I was never in love with acting," she admitted to The Times in October. "I don't mean this in a self-deprecating way, but I wasn't a great actress. I had my moments when I worked with really great people."

According to the Ghost Rider actress, being Cuban-American often meant she was typecast as one-dimensional characters, with many thinking she wasn't suitable for more interesting roles. "There were some pretty s--tty roles," she recalled. "That's all they would say at the beginning—'she's too ethnic for this, too ethnic for that.' It was so crazy. That was the constant note."

Eva found that the lifestyle in Hollywood wasn't a good fit for her overall. "I feel like with my kind of spirit I'd have found unhealthy behaviors anywhere," she explained. "I was so hungry for life. I still am. But I was leaving no stone unturned. I was like, 'What's over here? What's over here?'"

However, she's not totally opposed to the idea of giving acting another try, especially if she has the chance to work with Ryan again. The two met while making 2012's The Place Beyond The Pines, and Eva gushed, "That's the one thing I would love to do. He gets something out of me that's never been accessible before."
