Five protesters have been apprehended following allegations that they deliberately disrupted the filming of Gal Gadot's latest movie in the heart of London. In recent weeks, demonstrators have caused chaos at numerous filming sites across the city, according to the Metropolitan Police. The force revealed that the film was specifically targeted "solely due to the involvement of an Israeli actress in its production."

The Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel (Pacbi) has previously advocated for a boycott of Gadot's films, asserting that she has expressed support for Israel's military operations in Gaza and the occupied West Bank. The 40-year-old actress, who has been vocal about her support for Israel, is reportedly currently shooting for the action thriller "The Runner."

On Wednesday, police were dispatched to a filming location in Westminster to identify suspects linked to previous protest-related offenses and to address any new violations, Scotland Yard stated. Five individuals were arrested on suspicion of harassment and for violating Section 241 of the Trade Union and Labour Relations Act, which prohibits the unlawful obstruction of access to a workplace. They are currently being held in custody.

Two of these arrests stem from incidents at prior protests, while three are related to alleged offenses that transpired on Wednesday, the force clarified. Superintendent Neil Holyoak remarked, "While we fully recognize the significance of peaceful protest, we have a responsibility to intervene when it crosses the line into severe disruption or criminal activity. We have been in continuous discussions with the production company to understand the impact of these protests on their work and the individuals involved. I hope today's operation demonstrates our zero tolerance for harassment or unlawful interference with those engaging in legitimate professional endeavors in London."
