Gabby Windey and Robby Hoffman's love story has taken a timeless turn! On March 5, Wednesday, the 34-year-old star of "The Traitors" unveiled on Instagram that she had embarked on a new chapter as a married woman, having wed her beloved writer and comedian partner, 35, in a clandestine ceremony held on January 11, 2025.
Windey captivated her followers with a mesmerizing carousel of photos and videos, offering a glimpse behind the scenes of their magical Las Vegas chapel wedding. She revealed to Cosmopolitan that the entire affair, inclusive of a limousine and minister, amounted to a mere $799. The visuals encapsulated poignant moments, such as their tender wedding kiss beneath a white flower arch and their cozy embrace throughout the ceremony.
In one enchanting snapshot, Windey graced the aisle in a lacy, long-sleeved white dress, clutching a bouquet of red roses to the tune of Chappell Roan's "Hot to Go," as Hoffman awaited her at the altar, dressed in a sleek blue button-down shirt and slacks. Upon reaching him, they intertwined their hands and embarked on a spontaneous dance.
The newlyweds also embraced a unique tradition, where Hoffman symbolically shattered a vase to represent the delicacy of marriage, followed by a heartwarming burst of song and applause from Windey, while petals were scattered around them by a friend.
Captioning her wedding photos, Windey exclaimed, "Husband and wife!!" She further disclosed that their decision to tie the knot at the start of the year, following an evacuation from the Los Angeles fires, was an impulsive yet profound one. "We had just evacuated from the fires. It was like Rihanna's lyrics coming to life, 'We found love in a hopeless place,'" Windey shared with Cosmopolitan. "What better moment to get married than now? If the world were ending, we wanted to face it together."
On Instagram, Windey also recounted Hoffman's creative proposal, showcasing a picture of a completed crossword puzzle on her phone that spelled out, "Will you marry me, Gabby." She noted that solving crosswords was a cherished tradition for them. However, Hoffman had a twist in store. "I started solving this unconventional crossword, thinking, 'Sure, why not?' The first clue was 'a document signed when someone dies,' and I guessed 'deed.' He suggested 'will,' and the puzzle progressed, but the words didn't quite fit... Until we reached the final clue, and there it was – 'WILL YOU MARRY ME.' He asked, 'LYREB?' I finally said the words aloud, and he produced the ring," Hoffman reminisced, adding that they were engaged for a day before exchanging vows.
The couple recounted how everything for their wedding fell into place effortlessly. Reflecting on their perfect ceremony, Hoffman exclaimed, "It was the best wedding I've ever attended." Windey echoed his sentiments, saying, "It was undoubtedly the best night of my life. We danced, posed for pictures... It was magical. In a bizarre way, it felt like a 'Bachelor' episode, with roses blooming everywhere."
"As a child, I never幻想d my wedding, but this felt so right. Experiencing it firsthand, it was quintessentially us," she added, encapsulating the essence of their unforgettable union.
