"Timing truly is everything in this world, isn't it? Syd and she are evidently dear friends, and the wedding was an absolute blast," Powell remarked during an appearance on "Today with Jenna & Friends." "The Powell family knows how to throw a party, ensuring all of her admirers were present to celebrate."

He earlier described the festivities to the hosts as a "joyous, lively wedding," adding, "The Powells certainly know how to turn it up a notch." Although Powell wasn't the best man, he was chosen by his sister and her groom to deliver a toast, humorously suggesting that he might have been selected due to his "lowest potential for causing trouble in the family."

Powell even bestowed upon himself the title of "master of ceremonies." Beyond the wedding festivities, Powell and Sweeney spent quality time together in Texas, accompanied by John Stamos, who was also reported to have attended the family affair. The trio enjoyed a meal at Joe Leo Fine Tex-Mex restaurant, as reported by The Dallas Morning News. They also dined together at Hudson House, confirmed by the same outlet.

Despite persistent rumors of a romance, particularly after Sweeney's reported broken engagement to Jonathan Davino, an insider insisted that Powell and the actress remain just friends. "There's absolutely no romance between Glen and Sydney. They're simply good friends. Sydney is close to the entire family," a source told Us Weekly. "She brought one of her girlfriends as a guest to the wedding, and she RSVP'd months ago," the source added.

The duo has been battling romance rumors since their "Anyone But You" days. Their playful interactions during the press tour fueled public speculation, but Sweeney later denied any affair. "That's definitely not true," she stated during a "Saturday Night Live" monologue. "My fiancé and I produced the movie together, and he was there throughout the shoot."

According to various outlets, the two have subsequently ended their engagement and split. Sweeney's relationship with Davino had been "turbulent for quite some time," People magazine reported. The "Euphoria" star is now laser-focused on her career. "She's exactly where she wants to be," a source revealed. "Most people would find her work schedule this year overwhelming, but not Syd. She's all about her work right now and incredibly excited about all her projects."

However, what did overwhelm her was her relationship and the prospect of marriage, the insider added. "She didn't feel right about it." Sweeney is gearing up for a new season of "Euphoria," the HBO show that propelled her to fame, and a role in the highly anticipated adaptation of "The Housemaid." She will also portray professional boxer Christy Martin in an upcoming, untitled biopic and actress Kim Novak in "Scandalous!"
