Having confessed in December 2022, after her deception unraveled and severed her ties with ABC's flagship show, Finch acknowledged the profound hurt she inflicted. "I succumbed to the insidious addiction of deceit, betraying and scarring those dearest to me—family, friends, and colleagues alike," she lamented. "I strive to atone and convey my sincere contrition when the time is right, cognizant that healing may be forever elusive for some. Her apology, though earnest, she admitted, falls short of the enormity of her actions.
