Grimes is taking a stand against her ex, Elon Musk. The "Genesis" singer, who shares three kids with the tech tycoon—X Æ A-Xii (5), Exa Dark Sideræl (4), and Tau Techno Mechanicus (3)—has claimed that Elon, 54, unfollowed her on his social media platform X after a user asked why she had stopped following him. "For context, I'm just living my life," Grimes, 37 (born Claire Elise Boucher), wrote on X on December 11. "He followed me, then blocked me. I'm not going to keep unfollowing and re-following. My only priority is co-parenting; I'm not interested in public dramas." She added, "This is so silly."

Grimes has been open about the strain in her family life. Recently, she apologized to fans for pulling out of her performance in Washington, D.C. celebrating World Pride "in order to deal with family issues." "I am so sorry and regretful," she explained in a May 26 social media message. "I want to say that I am aware the situation has been a great inconvenience to the fans for some time, and I am truly determined to make sure this is no longer the case very soon."
This isn't the first time Grimes has hinted at struggles in her personal life, especially when it comes to co-parenting with her ex. In February, she took to social media to communicate with Elon—who shares 14 children with four women, including Grimes—concerning the health of one of their shared children. "Plz respond about our child's medical crisis," the artist wrote on X on February 20, per screenshots shared by TMZ at the time. "I'm sorry to do this publicly but it is no longer acceptable to ignore this situation. This requires immediate attention." She continued, "If you don't want to talk to me, can you please designate or hire someone who can so that we can move forward on solving this? This is urgent, Elon."
The mother of three also confronted a user who questioned why she had brought the sensitive subject to the public platform. "I'm not giving any details, but he won't respond to texts, calls, or emails and has skipped every meeting and our child will suffer life-long impairment if he doesn't respond soon," Grimes replied. "So I need him to f--king respond, and if I have to apply public pressure, then that's where we're at."
