Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton aren't the sole guardians of a robust marriage. In a captivating interview on The Drew Barrymore Show, the 55-year-old "Hollaback Girl" singershared the "ultimate advice" she's cherished since tying the knot with the 48-year-old Shelton in 2021. With a gesture towards the heavens, Stefani revealed, "The best advice, undoubtedly, is to ensure you have a third party in your relationship."
The Grammy Award winner delved deeper into the intricacies of their marital bliss, confessing her preference for cozy date nights at home over glamorous evenings out. "I'm all about the couch, a cozy blanket, and a bag of chips," she elaborated. "Our little domestic haven includes our dogs nestled nearby, two couches, and Blake sprawled on one, with us greeting each other with a casual 'Hi!'" She joked, "I'd love to sit next to him, but he's such a big guy; there's no room for both of us!"
Stefani also shared with the 50-year-old Barrymore her fondness for leisurely evening strolls over late-night conversations. "Long walks are my jam because by then, I'm utterly exhausted," she admitted. "I'm a night owl who loves the comfort of my bed."
Stefani and Shelton's love story blossomed on the sets of The Voice in 2014, when both were still married to their respective spouses, Gavin Rossdale and Miranda Lambert. Their romance ignited in 2015, post-divorce, and culminated in a wedding ceremony in 2021.
Just last month, Stefani unveiled a deluxe edition of her Bouquet album, featuring a heartfelt new tune, "Still Gonna Love You," co-written with Finneas. "This song embodies love—unbreakable, steadfast, and a love that always guides you home," she expressed in a statement.
Shelton, on the other hand, is preparing for the release of his upcoming album, For Recreational Use Only, next month. The album boasts a new duet with Stefani titled "Hangin' On." Earlier this year, the country crooner posted a picture of him embracing Stefani on Valentine's Day, captioning it, "Happy Valentine's Day to my eternal Valentine. I love you, @gwenstefani!!!!!"
