Halle Bailey has shared her eager anticipation for a Christmas filled with quality time with her young son, Halo. The singer and actress has opened up about the festive traditions she and her two-year-old will be embracing this holiday season.
In an interview with E! News, Halle expressed her excitement for "decorating everything, overload," adding, "I just got Christmas lights all over my house. So, I'm super thrilled about it." The Little Mermaid actress also revealed her love for baking sugar cookies, saying, "I do a whole thing."
For Halo, the young boy's holiday joy is fueled by music, as Halle shared, "He loves music. So, we wake up in the morning and sing songs together." When asked if she thinks her son might follow in her musical footsteps, she replied with a smile, "Who knows? I would want him to do what he wants to do. But he definitely has a musical inclination, which is so cool."
Halle shares Halo with her ex-boyfriend DDG, whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr. After their split in 2022, Halle secured a restraining order against the rapper in May after alleging physical, verbal, emotional, and financial abuse. In June, DDG was also granted a temporary restraining order against the singer. However, in October, the former couple agreed to drop their mutual restraining order requests and settled on a co-parenting arrangement to share custody of Halo.
Despite the challenges they've faced, Halle's enthusiasm for the holiday season and her joyful anticipation of spending time with her son show that even through adversity, there is still room for love, hope, and joy.
