The highly anticipated third season of "Euphoria" has welcomed an Academy Award-winning talent to its esteemed ensemble. Composer Hans Zimmer has elegantly stepped into the HBO series' fold, tasked with crafting the musical score for the upcoming season, slated for release sometime in 2026. Zimmer will forge a collaborative symphony with returning composer Labrinth, who has masterfully scored the show's first two installments.
"It is an immense privilege to join this extraordinary team of storytellers, led by the visionary mastermind, Sam Levinson," Zimmer expressed in a statement. "Together, they have woven a series that is both daring and deeply affecting, resonating profoundly with audiences worldwide. Labrinth's music has indelibly stamped the show's identity, and I eagerly anticipate contributing to its unfolding narrative, shaping this fresh chapter through the language of music."
Labrinth echoed this sentiment, exclaiming, "Embarking on yet another exhilarating chapter in the 'Euphoria' cosmos! It's a dream come true to collaborate with Hans, one of my cinematic scoring idols, and infuse this new season with an enchanting spark."
Filming for "Euphoria's" long-awaited third season commenced in February, with the return of stars such as Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Colman Domingo, Maude Apatow, Alexa Demie, and Eric Dane, along with the addition of Sharon Stone to the star-studded cast. The series will embark on a significant time leap, transitioning its former high school-aged protagonists into the vibrant world of young adulthood.
"Collaborating with Hans is a genuine honor," remarked "Euphoria's" creator and showrunner, Sam Levinson. "I penned this season with the scores of 'Interstellar' and 'True Romance' echoing in my mind, so Hans' creative influence has been embedded in our DNA from the onset. I am immensely proud of the work Labrinth and I have accomplished in previous seasons, and I am thrilled for Hans to propel us to new artistic heights."
