Heidi Montag had been harboring a dream of gracing the stage of "The Masked Singer" for years, yet fate had other plans. The star, who enchanted viewers as Snow Cone in season 14, has now been unmasked. Since its inception, the reality singing competition television series has been her passion, and when she finally got her chance to fulfill her dream, an unfortunate injury intervened, forcing her to bid a premature farewell.

During her time on the show, she experienced a "haemorrhage" on her vocal cord that was so severe that she "couldn't even talk," as recounted by Us Weekly. Sharing the intricacies of her ordeal, the "The Dramatic" hitmaker revealed, "The helmet was incredibly heavy and I was straining my neck to lift it. I was singing so fervently and intensely that it took a toll on my voice and ultimately caused the hemorrhage on my vocal cord."
After the incident, Montag "had been whispering for two weeks straight" at home, preparing for the upcoming "Spicy Girls Night." She struggled to communicate with her children, Gunner Stone and Ryker Pratt, whom she shares with her husband, Spencer Pratt. "It was a challenging experience off-camera," she recalled. "I was trying to conserve my voice, and both before and after, I was in tears because this had been my lifelong dream. To have to leave due to a vocal injury was devastating for me at that time. I felt like I was being robbed of an opportunity I'd been waiting for so long for... and I know it was all the more painful because of everything I've been through."
It's worth noting that as Snow Cone, Heidi Montag spoke about the struggles her family faced after losing their home in the devastating Los Angeles wildfire.
