Hilaria Baldwin and her spouse, Alec, embrace the art of self-deprecation with ease. On Wednesday, the duo hilariously recounted an awkward interview incident that had gone viral, where Hilaria playfully reprimanded Alec for cutting her off during a red carpet moment. It all unfolded at the opening of Planet Hollywood Times Square in New York City last week. While discussing their reality show, Hilaria sharply reminded Alec to let her finish speaking during an interview with Extra, He joked playfully, suggesting that their TLC show ought to be renamed "The Hilaria Show." while she was in the midst of explaining how it felt to have their program aired.

"It's gonna be great. You're a winner," Alec interjected, much to Hilaria's amusement. She swiftly responded, "Oh my God. When I'm talking, you're not talking," to which Alec quipped back, mimicking her tone, "No. When I'm talking, you're not talking." After a quick apology from Alec, Hilaria added, tongue-in-cheek, "This is why we'll have to just cut him out of the show."

In an Instagram Reel posted later that day, the couple lovingly mocked themselves by mouthing along to the audio of the interview. Once the audio clip ended, Hilaria inquisitively asked, "That is called, what's the word of the day?" Alec cleverly coined, "Manterrupting," to which Hilaria agreed. She then teasingly added, "Which could be a positive, it could be a negative, or it could be a...?" With a mischievous grin, Alec interrupted, "Correctile dysfunction." "Yes, correctile dysfunction," Hilaria echoed, laughing. "The whole point is that we interrupt each other all the time. So now that we've cleared all of that up, give me a kiss."

Captioning the Instagram video, Hilaria playfully wrote, "1. It runs in the family 2. Marriage 3. Manterrupting 4. Correctile dysfunction #marriagegoals."

This isn't the first time Hilaria has weathered public scrutiny. During a recent episode of "The Baldwins," she candidly shared, "Being in the spotlight, as people like to call it, people say, 'Oh, don't you get used to it?' No, you don't get used to it." She continued, "You never get used to people being mean. But you take a deep breath, and I think you learn to distance yourself from it. So, you just try turning down the volume in my head a bit… and I'm not gonna take it personally."

Previously, Hilaria faced backlash for exaggerating her Spanish accent after her personal history was scrutinized on social media in 2020. She had claimed to be born in Mallorca, Spain, and raised in Boston, stating in a podcast in April 2020 that she moved to the U.S. at 19 to attend NYU. However, social media detectives uncovered the truth: she was born and raised in the United States and may have spent some time in Spain with her family.

Hilaria eventually apologized for the confusion, acknowledging in an Instagram post that "culture, languages, sexual orientations, religions, and political beliefs" are "allowed to be fluid."
