Lauren Sánchez has embarked on a new chapter in her life with a fresh leading man by her side. Yet, despite officially exchanging vows with Jeff Bezos in a star-studded Italian wedding ceremony held on June 27th, the former news anchor's two sons remained instrumental in making her special day unforgettable.
Indeed, Nikko, 24, and Evan, 19—sons she shares with ex-boyfriend Tony Gonzales and ex-husband Patrick Whitesell, respectively—stood by her side as she gracefully walked down the aisle during the lavish festivities on the picturesque island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice. Vogue's Chloe Malle revealed after an interview with Lauren on June 27th that the 55-year-old was emotional at the thought, saying she couldn't help but tear up as she envisioned her boys accompanying her.
In addition to Nikko and Evan's prominent roles, Lauren's 17-year-old daughter Ella, whom she also shares with ex-husband Patrick, served as her esteemed maid of honor. During the ceremony, Ella delivered a heartfelt reading that moved everyone present. "Ella is one-of-a-kind," Lauren shared before the wedding. "She marches to the beat of her own drum. She had never had a fitting before and absolutely loved it. She looked stunning. Dressing all the kids has been the most delightful experience."
The breathtaking ceremony was attended by nearly 200 guests dressed to the nines, including celebrities such as Orlando Bloom, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kris Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, and many more. As Lauren and Jeff's celebrations extended late into the night, the newlyweds made their first public appearance as husband and wife at a private lunch at Harry's bar hours later.
For the occasion, the Emmy-winning journalist donned an elegant off-the-shoulder black dress and a chic sun hat, blowing kisses to the onlookers. Meanwhile, the Amazon founder opted for a casual look with a brown t-shirt and matching trousers.
Lauren's love for her leading man was evident even when she made history by launching into space alongside Katy Perry, Gayle King, and others in Jeff's Blue Origin rocket last month. She made it clear that spending time with Jeff was what she valued most. "The love, heart, and feelings in that capsule, and seeing Jeff before I left—I just had to come back," she said at the West Texas launch site. "We're getting married! If I didn't come back, that would have been a real bummer for me."
