How does LeAnn Rimes manage to coexist with the public's ire? It transpires that it took considerable time for the singer to reach a juncture where she could shed the weight of criticism that enveloped her affair with husband Eddie Cibrian, which commenced around 2008, amidst their respective marriages to Dean Sheremet and Brandi Glanville.

"So many women are at a loss as to how to cope with such anger," LeAnn confided in an interview with Flow Space, published on July 7th. "I became an easy target for projection. Once I grasped this reality, life became significantly easier."

At 42, while acknowledging empathy for those betrayed and understanding the "women who've borne the brunt of heartache," she realized she could extricate herself from their collective pain. "Rather than internalizing it, I saw that this wasn't solely my burden to carry," she elaborated. "I know my role in the situation and have made amends accordingly. But the world's sorrow is not mine to shoulder, and I felt its weight for far too long."

Having soared to fame at the tender age of 13, LeAnn's decades-spanning experience under the scrutinizing gaze of the spotlight taught her the art of not living in dread. "To lead a fulfilling life, I had to learn to lower my defenses," she clarified. "For me, it was a matter of confronting it or perishing."

She further added, "For a substantial part of my life, I felt deeply isolated in this world. I no longer harbor such feelings. I don't feel the need to conceal myself anymore."

Indeed, LeAnn is doing far more than merely stepping out of the shadows. "I believe I've transitioned from mere survival to thriving, and if there's a level beyond thriving, I'm on my way to truly living," she shared. "That's where my journey is headed."
