How Zendaya Convinced Her Mom to Get First Tattoo at 50

Zendaya has indelibly etched her mother, Claire Stoermer, in more ways than one. The Drama star recently divulged that she sparked her mother's tattoo journey 12 years ago by creating a design for her—unbeknownst to her, that one drawing would be so impactful. "I convinced her to get her maiden tattoo at the age of 50," Zendaya shared on the April 3 episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show. "I drew it for her, and since then, she's been reaching out to me randomly, announcing new tattoos."

"She's covered now. She's basically like, 'sleeved up'," the 29-year-old added. "She's a walking piece of art." But for Zendaya, body inking is not bothersome. In fact, she told Jennifer Hudson, "I like tattoos."

This certainly doesn't come as a surprise considering the Euphoria actress already showcased the tiny "t" tattoo on her ribcage—which many believe is dedicated to Tom Holland—at the 2025 Golden Globes. That same night, Zendaya and Tom's engagement was confirmed after she stepped out on the red carpet wearing a diamond ring. However, the couple never confirmed the news—and have remained even more secretive this year after Zendaya's stylist, Law Roach, claimed the Spider-Man costars quietly tied the knot.

Zendaya—who stepped out two days before Law's March 1 admission wearing a gold band on her left ring finger—only fueled more speculation when she appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live on March 16 and playfully reacted to the rumors, saying, "I haven't seen any of that."

Another person who hasn't been afraid to weigh in on the marriage speculation? None other than Zendaya's mom. Just one day after Law's interview at the Actor Awards, Claire shared the video of his claim to her Instagram Story alongside a laughing emoji. The 62-year-old also poked fun at Law's reaction in the clip, cryptically writing, "The laugh…."

Regardless of when they officially tied the knot, it’s not surprising that Zendaya and Tom would want to keep the occasion private. After all, the couple has been clear about privacy being a top priority in their relationship. "Our relationship is something that we are incredibly protective of and we want to keep as sacred as possible," Tom, 29, told The Hollywood Reporter in June 2023. "We don't think that we owe it to anyone; it's our thing."
