Absolutely no one can predict the ending of their own story, just like in any fight, and Hulk Hogan was no exception. A year has passed since the wrestling legend, who died at the age of 71 from a heart attack, and now, the upcoming Netflix documentary "Hulk Hogan: Real American" gives us a glimpse of Hulk in his final interview, where he reflects on his life. "I can't predict what the final act of the story will be," Hulk says in a voiceover in the April 6 trailer. "But the legend of Hulk Hogan will live forever."
In other parts of the trailer for the four one-hour-long episodes, the athlete (born Terry Bollea) reminisces about his life both in and out of the ring, hoping that these episodes will shed light on who he really was. "Some people hate me, but after I'm gone, I think people won't know the truth," he said. "Who was this guy really? I was here for a reason beyond just wrestling."

The docuseries promises to "uncover the man behind the legend" and includes interviews with Hulk's friends, peers, and his ex-wife, Linda Hogan. In the trailer, Linda, who was married to the wrestler from 1983 to 2009, tells us that despite their strained relationship after their split, she still loves him and expresses her grief over his death.
"I had no idea he would pass away this soon," Linda wrote on Instagram shortly after Hulk's death. "We all really thought he would make a comeback! It's hitting me so hard. I loved Hulkster more than he loved me. It hurts when he cheated. But he was so famous. I sort of understood it, but it was crushing. It hurts."
She added, "I've been weeping all day. The finality. It's just shocking. We spent every minute together for so many years. I've known him since he was 28 years old! I was 22. I still love him. Even though I never spoke or saw him again, Nick did... and Nick would tell me things and vice versa. Just news about life."
Linda also shared how the family's rift—not only were she and Hulk not on speaking terms, but his relationship with daughter Brooke had also been complicated—had left her feeling "broken." Nevertheless, "We still were a family," she wrote. "It's so hard to know he's just gone. I tried to stay strong for Nick... but I'm me."
"I love you, Hulkster," Linda concluded. "You were my man. The only man for me. RIP."
