The tragic find occurred on the morning of May 14th in Westerly, a coastal town situated less than a mile from Swift's seaside retreat. In a statement to NBC News, officials elaborated, "The South Kingstown Police Department, in collaboration with the Mansfield Police Department and the Rhode Island Office of the State Medical Examiners, has officially concluded its investigation. No foul play is suspected." They further extended their heartfelt condolences to Wein's family and loved ones amidst their profound sorrow.

Recounting the harrowing scene, the Westerly Police Department's statement continued, "Upon their arrival, officers stumbled upon what appeared to be a human leg bone. The remains were meticulously gathered and transported to the Rhode Island Medical Examiner’s Office for a thorough examination." The police emphasized, "At present, no foul play is suspected, and investigators await official confirmation of the identity of the remains."

It's worth noting that Swift, who acquired her scenic beachfront property in 2013, was absent from the vicinity during the harrowing discovery. Beyond hosting her lavish Fourth of July gatherings, this picturesque real estate has served as a muse for her music. In fact, she sang about the "Holiday House" and its former owner, socialite Rebekah Harkness, in the 2020 track "the last great american dynasty" from her 'Folklore' album. Sharing a glimpse into her creative journey in the 'Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions' documentary, Swift revealed, "I had been yearning to pen a song about Rebekah Harkness since 2013."
