Meghan Markle is poised to make a regal comeback to the world of acting. As the Duchess of Sussex, she's about to make a screen comeback after an eight-year hiatus with a cameo in the upcoming romantic comedy, "Close Personal Friends." Her costar, Jack Quaid, shared a succinct yet insightful glimpse into working with the royal. In an interview with "Entertainment Tonight" published on March 20th, the "The Boys" actor exclaimed, "It was insane."

Beyond Meghan, Jack—whose parents are Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan—noted that he had "a blast" working with his fellow cast members Lily Collins, Brie Larson, and Henry Golding. He continued, "[It] is just an incredible group of people to be a part of. Every day we went to set and we tried our best to make each other laugh."

Meghan's appearance in "Close Personal Friends" will mark her first acting role since leaving "Suits" in 2018 to focus on her responsibilities with the royal family before her wedding to Prince Harry later that year. She told the BBC at the time, "I don't see it as giving anything up. I just see it as a change." She added, "For me, once we hit the 100-episode marker, I thought, you know what? I have ticked this box, and I feel really proud of the work I've done there. Now it's time to work as a team with [Harry]."

Since then, Meghan—mom to kids Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 4, with Harry—has emphasized that she has no plans to return to acting full-time. She told Variety in 2022, "I'm done. I guess never say never, but my intention is to absolutely not."

When asked how she would feel if her and Harry's kids expressed interest in becoming actors in the future, she replied, "I would say, 'Great!'" She added, "When you become a parent, you genuinely want your kids to find the things that bring them complete joy. If it's the entertainment industry, great. And also, good luck. There are so many people who will talk about what opened the door for my children. But it still takes talent and a lot of grit. We're creating multidimensional, interesting, kind, creative people. That's who our kids are."
