Jaime King is overflowing with joy over Taylor Swift's romantic touchdown, a sentiment that has only intensified despite the recent decline in their public sightings. Though the Hart of Dixie star, who met Taylor in 2014 and became a cherished member of her girl squad, hasn't been spotted with the singer as frequently in recent years, her excitement for Taylor's engagement to Travis Kelce is undeniable. "I'm freaking stoked," Jaime exclaimed to Us Weekly in an interview published on November 1. "This is it, this is the one. This is her person."

As the Grammy winner appointed by Jaime as Leo's (now 10) godmother in 2015, her joy for Taylor and Travis knows no bounds. "I'm so happy," she continued.
For Jaime, who shares Leo and son James, 12, with ex-husband Kyle Newman, Taylor's role as a friend, godmother, and human being has always been unparalleled. "She's the best friend, godmother, human being that a person could ask to be in your orbit," she told E! News in 2016. "I am very, very grateful for her."
Choosing Taylor to take on the godmother role was a no-brainer for Jaime. "I always thought if I were to have another child that she would be the ideal godmother because the way she not only treats me but the way she treats other human beings," Jaime told E! News in 2015. "She's so loving and so giving and so generous and she does everything from her heart and she's incredibly brave and authentic. It's a very rare thing to come across."
With a lot having changed over the past decade, including Taylor's impending nuptials and Jaime's own engagement to Austin Sosa in July after divorcing Kyle in 2024, another shared milestone has been reached for the pair. "I feel like my engagement is to myself, in the best way," Jaime added to Us Weekly. "To me, an engagement is really about a love for oneself."
