During the podcast, the 44-year-old American actress and singer, who played Meadow Soprano in the crime drama television series "The Sopranos" as a teenager, confessed to host Amanda Hirsch that she developed numerous insecurities after being "heavily scrutinized and made fun of" for her appearance. She recalled a particularly brutal moment when "someone called me live on a radio show and told me they had bets with their friends about how much weight I had gained between seasons."

"It was ruthless back then, for sure. You felt immense pressure. I already didn't feel like I looked like a Hollywood star compared to the actors I saw on the CW shows I loved. And then to have all that confirmed to my face was really difficult," Sigler explained.

What was surprising for the star of "Beneath the Dark" was the fact that the cast and crew of "The Sopranos" "loved" whoever she was. It's worth noting that Jamie Lynn Sigler stated that her age played a significant role in making her feel less confident about herself, as she was too young to handle constant public criticism.
