Jared Leto has faced accusations of sexual misconduct leveled by multiple women, casting a shadow over his public image. On June 7, Saturday, Air Mail published an explosive expose based on interviews with nine women, who alleged that the 53-year-old actor and musician engaged in inappropriate behavior towards them, some incidents involving minors. These women painted a picture of a pervasive pattern of such conduct over an extended period.

"It has been an unspoken truth for years," confidentially revealed one of the accusers to the publication.

Among the myriad allegations, Leto stands accused of posing sexual questions to a 16-year-old girl, strolling out of a room nude in front of a 17-year-old, and on another occasion, exposing himself and masturbating while placing an 18-year-old's hand "on him."

In a formal statement to Air Mail, a spokesperson for Thirty Seconds to Mars band member Jared Leto categorically denied all the accusations. Meanwhile, a representative for Leto did not promptly respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.

Among the allegations detailed in the report, Laura La Rue, a model who was 16 in 2008, recounted meeting Leto at an animal rights benefit that year. They subsequently kept in touch via email, culminating in an invitation to his studio. During her visit in April 2009, she claimed he "flirted" with her.

Leto's representative told Air Mail that their "communications were devoid of anything sexual or inappropriate" and added that La Rue "later sought a position as Mr. Leto’s personal assistant, further emphasizing the absence of any inappropriate behavior in their interactions." However, La Rue refuted the claim about applying for the job. She further alleged that on one occasion when she was 17, Leto casually walked out of a room nude, "as if it were the most natural thing in the world."

"I pondered if this was simply how adult men conducted themselves," she confided to the outlet.

Another woman claimed she was 16 in 2008 when Leto approached her at Urth Caffé in Los Angeles and obtained her phone number. She recounted how, days later, Leto called her house in the dead of night, his voice "bizarre and revolting," leading her to wonder if he was under the influence of drugs.

A spokesperson for the actor revealed to Air Mail that Leto has maintained an impeccable record, "refraining from alcohol and drugs for over three and a half decades." According to Air Mail, the female accuser recounted an incident where, despite declining an invitation to a party, she was incessantly contacted by Leto in the early hours of the morning for three consecutive weeks. She alleged, "The conversations took a sexual turn, with him inquiring about my personal life, such as, 'Have you ever had a boyfriend? Have you ever engaged in oral sex?'" She further elaborated, "His voice and mannerisms underwent a transformation that terrified me. It was then I realized, 'This isn't just something that happens in movies.'" The woman's mother corroborated her daughter's narrative, having overheard one of these distressing calls, as per Air Mail.

Another individual, who claimed to have been a minor when she initiated text exchanges with Leto, alleged uncomfortable questioning during her visits to his residence. She recounted a harrowing incident at the age of 18 when, according to Air Mail, "he abruptly exposed himself and commenced masturbation. He then approached me, took my hand, and placed it on him, leaning in to say, 'I want you to spit on it.'"

Elsewhere in the Air Mail report, another woman, who was 18 at the time, recounted attending one of Leto's parties at his home in the early 2000s, stating that she was "definitely not the youngest guest present." She further alleged that the focal point of the gathering seemed to be encouraging female attendees to engage in skinny dipping. In response, Leto's representative denied any misconduct, asserting to Air Mail, "There was never any recruitment, complaints, or impropriety involved." Additionally, Brent Bolthouse, a nightlife promoter who organized numerous parties at Leto's house, told the publication that he "never witnessed anyone skinny-dipping."

Last month, stories surrounding Leto's alleged inappropriate conduct resurfaced when DJ Allie Teilz reposted a 2012 Facebook status on her Instagram Stories, claiming she had been "assaulted and traumatized by him when I was 17." Leto's representative firmly refuted these claims, stating to Air Mail, "Her allegations are unequivocally false."
