The clip, premiered solely on People, showcases Padalecki alongside his beloved wife, Genevieve, as he shares, "I hit rock bottom. My mind was overrun with dark thoughts, spiraling towards the brink of despair. I reached out to my wife, and she urged me to come home. I did, and for a few weeks, I sought healing in a clinic. It was there that I found my way back, and since then, I've never had a moment of suicidal contemplation."

Padalecki further elucidates that the source of his distress stemmed from the demands of his professional life. He explains, "Auditions and engagements demanded a facade, not genuine concern. They wanted the polished, enthusiastic version of me, not the honest one who might confess, 'Today was tough, I'm struggling.' I'd been playing that role for so long, focusing on pleasing others rather than being authentic."

He also touches upon the recent cancellation of his Western drama series, 'Walker,' by The CW, acknowledging the challenges it presented. "The news of 'Walker's' demise has left me deeply saddened. It's been a trying month, but I'm grateful to have my wife, children, friends, and family to lean on. They've been my rock."
