Jelly Roll Shows Off Dramatic Weight Loss in Louis Vuitton Outfit and Asks Fans to 'Pray for My Bank Account'

Jelly Roll is getting his wallet ready for a splurge on high-end fashion. The country music sensation (born Jason DeFord) took center stage at the "God of the World" concert in Vatican City, strutting his stuff in what he later disclosed was a head-to-toe Louis Vuitton ensemble—complete with a collared jacket, a sleek black button-up shirt, and perfectly matched pants.

Later, the 40-year-old "Wild Ones" crooner weighed in (quite literally) on his dramatic weight loss transformation, which has finally allowed him to squeeze into those designer duds. "I can fit into Louis Vuitton now. Pray for my bank account," he quipped in a September 15 Instagram post.

Jelly Roll embarked on his weight loss odyssey back in 2022, shedding an astonishing 550 pounds from his former frame. That same year, he shared with Music Mayhem that his 2023 resolutions centered on prioritizing his health and "vanquishing the demon" of his weight—a battle so fierce it earned him the childhood nickname "Jelly Roll" from his own mother.

By 2024, Jelly Roll revealed to PEOPLE that he'd dropped 110 pounds by overhauling his lifestyle—prioritizing exercise and swapping out junk food for healthier alternatives. He estimated that 60 to 70 pounds of that loss occurred during his four-month-long "Beautifully Broken" tour.

"It's wild because there was a time when the culture I cultivated on tour was the polar opposite," the Grammy-nominated artist reflected. "It revolved around booze and drugs. Now, our tour ethos is all about clean eating, staying active, and doing daily emotional check-ins with the crew."

That same year, Jelly Roll disclosed that he'd shed approximately 70 pounds by logging two to three miles a day on foot while training for the 2 Bears 5K alongside Bert Kreischer and Tom Segura.

Dietary changes have also played a pivotal role in his transformation. (He previously opened up to PEOPLE about his battle with food addiction.) Enter nutritionist Chef Ian Larios, whom Jelly Roll brought along on the "Beautifully Broken" tour to whip up high-protein meals tailored to his needs.

Amid his candid discussions about weight loss, the father of two has been equally transparent about his "all-natural" approach, steering clear of Ozempic out of fear of its side effects—though he's not entirely opposed to GLP-1 medications. "I was just scared of it... As a singer, few things terrify me more than acid reflux," he explained. "You'll see me jump out of bed, burp, and panic-grab something for it. Because that stuff can wreak havoc on your vocal cords."

Looking ahead, Jelly Roll has set his sights on another milestone tied to his journey: gracing the cover of Men's Health by 2026. "I want one of the biggest transformations out there," he declared on a December 2024 episode of the Dumb Blonde Podcast.
